Plus a nice picnic after the race...
On Sunday, concurrent with the club's standard distance tri champs, we also ran the club's plein air dining competition. This is a multi discipline event where members competed to provide the best standard English picnic with the winner combining the best in equipment, food and number of attendees. The weather didn't disappoint with a perfect combination of sun dark cloud and rain showers. Some very impressive rug laying then followed and the club Gazebo provided by the chairman proved to be popular with spectators. In teh final stage of the competition however two contenders started to pull away. Alan led for a while with his home made red onion quiche (its all in the olive oil you know). But to those who have been in the BTF (British Tucker Federation) for a while will know that Debbie finishes very strongly and today was no different and she was first over the line with an irresistible combination of parma ham wrapped mozarella, strawberries and home made muffins.
Congratulations to all.
